Commentions ("we", "us", "our") operates the YouTube comment bot available at commentions.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and password when you create an account.
• YouTube / Google data — when you connect a channel via Google OAuth, we access only the scopes needed to read videos and post comments on your behalf. We never read private messages or unrelated account data.
• Campaign data — the keywords, tone and settings you configure, and the comments generated.
• Payment data — handled by Stripe; we store only a customer reference, never your full card details.
• Usage data — basic analytics (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to operate the Service (post comments on the channels you connect), process payments, provide support, send service and billing emails, and improve features. We do not sell your personal data.

3. YouTube API Services

The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time via your Google security settings.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and a small set of analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Third-party services

We rely on trusted processors including Stripe (payments), Google/YouTube (core functionality) and standard analytics providers. Each handles data under its own privacy terms.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR / CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact us at privacy@commentions.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (SSL) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
